The Garner Homes 2018 Parade Home re-interprets many of the architectural styles that are beloved in the area. The builder borrowed quite a bit from its project portfolio to create this home – which they call American Transitional. Garner Homes is inspired by using pedestrian materials such as brick and metal in exciting ways, mixing both painted and untouched brick and using the metal from the roof and extending it down one side of the home.

The builder also considered natural light to be a major element in its design palette. Windows are a big deal to the Garner Homes team on any project, and especially so when they have an incredible view to showcase. Knowing that they wanted a lot of glass was obvious, but the home also showcases the team’s creativity in the way they designed the windows into the shapes and spaces architecturally.

The interior decor echoes the architectural lines with subtle furnishings and silvery hides that sit atop White Oak flooring. Elegant lines of fire, an impressive 72” linear fireplace inside and a modern fire table outside warm both spaces stylishly.

The American Transitional home has approximately 3,222 square feet of conditioned living space that offers three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a home office, and a three-car garage. Meant to entertain friends and serve the everyday needs of its owners, the home boasts a large open kitchen, a wet bar, and wine room along with an under counter refrigerated beverage center. A home chef will be happy in this home, with 60” of refrigerator and freezer space, a large gas range and double ovens by Dacor, an oversized pantry with plentiful storage and expansive counter space on which to work. A towering ceiling and free-standing bathtub complete the spa-like master bathroom. The expansive outdoor living areas include approximately 888 square feet of patio space complete with an outdoor kitchen with walk-up bar, built-in grill, and outdoor refrigerator.
